2026 BC Law Enforcement Memorial

The British Columbia Law Enforcement Memorial Service coincides with the National Police & Peace Officers’ Memorial held annually in Ottawa on the last Sunday in September. The BC Law Enforcement Memorial Service is held permanently in Victoria at the site of the Bastion on the grounds of the BC Legislature.

Officers Being Honoured

This year we will honour those 135 Law Enforcement Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice serving the citizens of British Columbia. Thankfully, there are no present-day additions to the Roll of Honour this year however there will be 2 historic additions from the British Columbia Forest Service from 1925 and 1955 respectively.

Transportation

Transportation arrangements for law enforcement officers attending the BC Law Enforcement Memorial are made through your home agency. Please contact your agency’s Ceremonial Sergeant Major for details.

IMPORTANT: If transportation is not available through your agency please email the organizing committee at committee@bclem.ca no later than September 15, 2025.

12th Annual BCLEM Ride to Remember (FULL)

The 12th Annual Ride to Remember is a 3-day event starting in Abbotsford and ending at the BC Legislature in Victoria.

  • Thursday, September 25th – Leg 1: Vancouver to PRTC Chilliwack – 152 kms
  • Friday, September 26th – Leg 2: PRTC Chilliwack to Delta Police Department– 142 kms
  • Saturday, September 27th – Leg 3: Greater Victoria to The Bastion at the BC Legislature – 110 kms

Priority registration will be given to riders intending to participate in all three days of this event.

8th Annual BCLEM Run to Remember

The 8th Annual Run to Remember has been expanded into is a 3-day event starting in Abbotsford and ending at the BC Legislature in Victoria.

  • Thursday, September 24th – Leg 1: Abbotsford to White Rock (FULL)
  • Friday, September 25th – Leg 2: White Rock to Tsawwassen (FULL)
  • Saturday, September 26th – Leg 3: Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to the B.C. Legislature (FULL)
  • FINAL 11KM – the final 11kms of the run from Lochside Elementary is open to the public who are encouraged to join in with the full-event runners to the finish line at the BC Law Enforcement Memorial at the BC Legislature. This is not a race. It is a run together to show our support for our heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Upon arrival at the Legislature, there will be a short ceremony to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

All proceeds raised go to the National Law Enforcement Run to Remember and all participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt with their registration.
